Welcome to the JH Walters Website

This web site is dedicated to my hobbies (listed to the left), family and friends. The photo album listed on the menu above is for registered guests only. It contains thousands of sometimes boring family photographs. You cannot register yourself, I have to provide a logon and password. This is done because I don't want some people to have access to our private lives. While other aspects can remain public.

Since my last entry,my life has changed somewhat. I have retired again. Friends are casually betting on how long I will remain unemployed this time. I have been cutting firewood, getting the lawn in shape, reading many books, Working on learning PHP and SQL for my web site work. I have been fixing things araound the house that have been broken for a long time. One thing I have not done is work on my cars. I hope this changes soon.

About 30 years ago or more a dear friend of mine Herb Stein and I worked on his and my Mustangs. Herb had a 1967 390 GTA, lime gold interior and metalic green exterior. I had a 1966 GT and a 1976 Dark metalic green convertible. I needed two cars because back then most cars were not as reliable as they are today. I always had one car apart either building an engine or upgrading some part or another. Those are two cars I wish I still had today. In fact, I wish Herb was still around today. I an building a 1968 Shelby clone and am dedicating the car to Herb. I am not sure where Herb is at now, but I hope he has either wings or a Mustang. I am reasonable sure God drives a "FORD".

The '68 is in the process of getting a new wiring harness. A time consuming procedure at best. I think this is teh worst thing I have had to do while rebuildign this car. Tedius, boring, slow, did I mention tedious? Ugh!

:)

About My Family

We live in God's country AKA the Ozarks. Here we enjoy all four seasons in our country home. Sometimes we don't enjoy summer because of the heat and bugs. But it could always be worse so why complain.

My wife is a real sweetheart. At least she is most of the time. The rest of the time, I don't plan to discuss in public on this site.

About our children

We have four boys, none still at home, I find it is easier to sporadically enjoy their company than to live around them. But they are all wonderful. But they can't move back!

We also have 3 cats and one dog: Follow the link if you want to hear about these four.
